About
Air Praxis provides aeromedical consulting for patients, families, and medical escort services. We help determine whether a patient is medically fit to fly and what precautions are needed to make the journey as safe and appropriate as possible.
Our services include fit-to-fly assessments exclusively performed by flight doctors, available by video consultation or locally in California. We also provide case-by-case medical reviews for patients with recent illness, injury, surgery, reduced mobility, oxygen needs, neurological conditions, or complex medical histories.
We support medical escort providers by offering clinical guidance on whether a patient can travel on a commercial flight, whether a medical escort is recommended, and when a higher level of transport, such as stretcher travel or air ambulance, should be considered.

We help medical escort companies develop clinical protocols, operational guidelines, and decision-making tools for aeromedical transport. These protocols are designed to support safe, consistent, and medically appropriate decisions before and during patient travel.
Our protocol development services may include fit-to-fly criteria, escalation pathways, medical escort scope of practice, oxygen and mobility considerations, emergency contingency planning, documentation standards, and guidance on when to recommend commercial medical escort, stretcher transport, or air ambulance.
Fit-to-Fly Assessment
Air Praxis offers fit-to-fly assessments exclusively performed by flight doctors.
We evaluate whether a patient can safely travel by air.
Assessments are available by video consultation or locally in California.
Each case is reviewed based on current medical condition and travel needs.
